EPISODE 56! Rolling out once again with a new episode for you. Here is my summer special!
But first some news. It has come to the point where I can’t keep it coming month after month. Podgressive has been rolling out every month since 2010 with over 100 artists. It hasn’t been easy to find good guests lately that are suitable for my show and at the same time looking into my calender, I’m overbooked with both private and job related stuff. I wan’t to keep it coming but still with at least the same quality as before. Therefore, I have decided to keep em’ coming but only four times a year starting with this episode and on October 24th as my autumn special.
I hope that you all understand and hopefully I can pack the next one full of great content.
EPISODE 54! Time for some podcasting again. Tatsumi have just moved to another flat with his girlfriend and made this podcast in the middle of our boxes and chaos. To make it easier for him, he has invited just one guest this time. With us this time is a great talent from Stockholm, Spaanberg and Tatsumis set building up from techno to progressive trance.

Kollektivet hosted Sundeck and the Monday Bar floor at the Monday Bar Black & White Cruise from Stockholm to Riga. We had our equipment and recorded our dj-sets and after some work I’m happy to announce this release of Podgressive EP043!
The content of this episode starts with my entire set and 20 minutes each from Kambiz, Amar S, Fredrik Grass, Jay van Kay and Steve Sundheden.

It’s Friday again and it’s soon payday for the most of us.
Podgressive EP036 is released and it’s a episode full of talanted guests and filled with the best dance music the world has to offer at this moment. First up is the very talanted artist Michael Cassette. His sound has made us impressed for several years and it’s nice to have him with us! Next up is Orkidea. He has been up on the very top of the nordic dance scene for more than a decade and his uplifting and melodic sound will hopefully squeeze the juice of this show! As for the resident dj Tatsumi Suzuki, he have a little more melodic and a bit faster mix for this month. We think this will suite for all you trance people out there! We have also the winner of last months contest with Analog Sweden and another intresting interview of Millaway by Patric from bejbi.se. Enjoy!

I’m here to try out this blogging phenomena that every body has been talking about for the last ten years. If you don’t know me, I’m Tatsumi Suzuki behind the monthly podcast, #Podgressive (remember the very important trending topic hash-tag there!). Podgressive.com and bejbi.se has been working closely since January and it has been fun and at the same time challenging to maintain a ”red line” between bejbi and the podcast.
What’s the fuzz about this blogging stuff then, Tatsumi you are a dj and a podcaster!
Well, the idea behind this is to get the listeners/subscribers (That means you!) backstage and to the production very heart of each podcast. I will share my thoughts that has been in my head during the past month, releases, djs, the production and all the work behind this show.
Summer 2012
Let’s call it a big fail! This summer has been the worst one in ages. It has been raining pretty much each and other day and the temperature has been way below normal for us in the Nordic countries. It’s depressing because of our hard, cold and dark winters. We need sun and a couple of months when we can re-charge our batteries! However, the summer usually brings us some parties and iv’e been to some. I have also been djing in Holland at the Luminosity pre-party with FSOS (Future sound of sweden) and in Finland, up north in a town called Vasa. Not to mention our own party at Slakthuset, ”Podgressive Summer Jam” together with bejbi!
This is how I create #Podgressive!
I usually listen to several podcasts and try to search the web for new tunes. When I find something interesting, I always have a note on my Macbook where I gather all the tracknames so I can get it later. It’s more or less a couple hundred tracks to scrum through every month. Belive me, it takes time to get together a decent podcast!
I’ve got some questions about my setup and to be honest, I’m confused! My left foot is standing on modern technics with multiple decs, sync, endless fx and multiple software routed together. Then on the other hand I got my right foot on the classic beatmatching and endless track searching in my dj case. I’m for the moment doing both classic CD to CD beatmatching with my two Pioneer CDJ-400’s and with my Allen & Heath XONE:4D or the mixer together with Traktor scratch. To be honest, man I don’t know! I think my dream setup would be 3 x Technics 2010 mk5 with timecoded vinyls together with a solid mixer. Allen & Heath (Xone 92) + Pioneer RMX1000 or Pioneer DJM900-Nexus. I just love the feel of vinyl. That’s where it all started for me and it would be great to bring it back but modernised and digitalised.

This months show will be a nice blend of house, techno, progressive and trance. We will have a very talented guest from Finland with roots in house music and also a great upcoming artist from Sweden, from the FSOS (Future Sound Of Sweden) collective.
I have been listening to pretty much techno these past weeks and dude, there are quite awesome releases in that genre at the moment! There has been some great trance releases as well, so hopefully you will like the finalized podcast that has resease on Friday 28th September at http://podgressive.com.

We have come to the NEW monthly section where I have listed 10 great tunes that have been my most played tunes for the month. It doesn’t matter if some tracks has been out a while, it’s just what get’s me going right now. I hope that you will find some interesting stuff there and it goes something like this…
1. He has done it again! Eric Prydz said on his latest podcast that this tune has made the croud go absolutely mental on his gigs this summer! And I totally understand that. This tune has every element you need for a perfect summertune! As I noticed on his tracklisting, this will probably be released on the Eric Prydz alias, not as Pryda. Hopefully he will have this released soon and I’m looking forward to get this into my sets as well. ENJOY!

So, here is the live recorded episode from our event!
We are proud to present Podgressive EP031 live at Podgressive Summerjam together with Podgressive.com, Slakthuset and Carlsberg.
The live sets was originally like 5-6 hours and Tatsumi have chosen the best parts for this episode. There are no tracklists at this moment, but we will try to get our artists to ID their tunes and post it as soon as we get them.
Thanks to all the people that came to this wonderful night. And as we say in the episode, we are about to set a new date for another party.

So, here we are. January 2012. I was actually getting really sick of the last design and not to mention the non-existing functionality of the previous site. So, I started to make some scetches and coming up with some cool ways to make this page more intresting. So as a new start of the podcast, we put our heads together with one of our favorite Tatsumi Suzuki. He’s on the third year of his podcast Podgressive, and we have decided to let him run our exclusive bejbi.se mix in the future, once a month.
And, as a special feature we are going to have a exclusive clip from our interview with that month artist. Isn’t it a beauty!?

How about some music? Let’s start with KIMONO! This dude has been in the scene since we started to go on parties back in -98. He was all ready bangin techno at a warehouse temple in Stockholm called Docklands. Many years has passed since then and his career is really on the top with lables, countless releases and impressive gigs.
Next guest for this month is the local talent KOLIZZ! He came from nowhere and got massive response from his gigs at one of swedens most respected clubs in this scene, Monday bar. After that he earned himself a slot at the mainstage. Pretty impressive!
