The trio only released 4 singles and all of them became pretty huge. I&#8217;m ofcourse talking about <a href=\"http:\/\/www.discogs.com\/artist\/Goldenscan\" title=\"Goldenscan\" target=\"_blank\">Goldenscan<\/a> \u2013 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.discogs.com\/Goldenscan-Sunrise\/master\/22972\" title=\"Sunrise\" target=\"_blank\">Sunrise<\/a> (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.discogs.com\/artist\/Pulser\" title=\"Pulser\" target=\"_blank\">Pulser<\/a> 6 AM Vocal Remix). <a href=\"https:\/\/itunes.apple.com\/se\/album\/sunrise-pulser-6am-remix\/id561349845?i=561349943&#038;uo=4\" target=\"itunes_store\">(Buy on Itunes)<\/a><\/p>\n<p>UK-based <a href=\"http:\/\/www.discogs.com\/artist\/Ed+Goring\" title=\"Ed Goring\" target=\"_blank\">Ed Goring<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.discogs.com\/artist\/Mark+McCormick\" title=\"Mark McCormick\" target=\"_blank\">Mark McCormick<\/a> met in 1999 and formed <a href=\"http:\/\/www.discogs.com\/artist\/Goldenscan\" title=\"Goldenscan\" target=\"_blank\">Goldenscan<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>Both had a career in music before. Ed was part of the multi hit-making <a href=\"http:\/\/www.discogs.com\/artist\/Elevatorman\" title=\"Elevatorman\" target=\"_blank\">Elevatorman<\/a> as for Mark, he was part of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.discogs.com\/artist\/FXU\" title=\"FXU\" target=\"_blank\">FXU<\/a>, the first UK act to be signed to NYC\u2019s highly prestigious <a href=\"http:\/\/www.discogs.com\/label\/Strictly+Rhythm\" title=\"Strictly Rhythm\" target=\"_blank\">Strictly Rhythm<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Their first (and biggest) success came with the 2000 single <a href=\"http:\/\/www.discogs.com\/Goldenscan-Sunrise\/master\/22972\" title=\"Sunrise\" target=\"_blank\">Sunrise<\/a> (with vocalist <a href=\"http:\/\/www.discogs.com\/artist\/Maggie+%283%29\" title=\"Maggie\" target=\"_blank\">Maggie<\/a>). The track was actually out on White Label already in 1999 but it was in 2000 where it got it&#8217;s major breakthrough.<\/p>\n<p>The version that usually got the most airplay was the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.discogs.com\/artist\/Pulser\" title=\"Pulser\" target=\"_blank\">Pulser<\/a> remix, but there was also an remix by <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Tiesto\" title=\"Tiesto\" target=\"_blank\">Tiesto<\/a>. Later in 2003, there was a re-release with an <a href=\"http:\/\/www.discogs.com\/artist\/Ronski+Speed\" title=\"Ronski Speed\" target=\"_blank\">Ronski Speed<\/a> remix. <\/p>\n<p>The last remix to be released was the 2011 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.discogs.com\/artist\/Neptune+Project\" title=\"Neptune Project\" target=\"_blank\">Neptune Project<\/a> remix. <\/p>\n<p>What I really like about the Pulser remix is that it&#8217;s smoother and got more depth than the original. While both Tiesto&#8217;s and Ronski Speed&#8217;s remix are more floating and light, the Pulser remix is more colder and darker.<\/p>\n<p>I remember when first hearing it on a roadtrip early in the morning while the sun came up. So magical!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.bejbi.se\/?attachment_id=5721\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-5721\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.bejbi.se\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/goldenscan-sunrise.jpg\" alt=\"goldenscan-sunrise\" width=\"680\" height=\"380\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-5721\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.bejbi.se\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/goldenscan-sunrise.jpg 680w, https:\/\/www.bejbi.se\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/goldenscan-sunrise-380x212.jpg 380w, https:\/\/www.bejbi.se\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/goldenscan-sunrise-340x190.jpg 340w, https:\/\/www.bejbi.se\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/goldenscan-sunrise-200x112.jpg 200w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 680px) 100vw, 680px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>After the success with Sunrise, Goldenscan released their second release, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.discogs.com\/Goldenscan-Of-Our-Times\/master\/22977\" title=\"Of Our Time\" target=\"_blank\">Of Our Time<\/a> (with vocalist <a href=\"http:\/\/www.discogs.com\/artist\/Niki+Evans?anv=Nicki+Evans\" title=\"Nicki Evans\" target=\"_blank\">Nicki Evans<\/a>) was pretty decent. I do love the original mix over the remixes by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.discogs.com\/artist\/Super8\" title=\"Super8\" target=\"_blank\">Super8<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.discogs.com\/artist\/Randy+Katana\" title=\"Randy Katana\" target=\"_blank\">Randy Katana<\/a> as it keeps some of the original sounds that made Sunrise so good.<\/p>\n<p>Their next success came with the release of the EP <a href=\"http:\/\/www.discogs.com\/Goldenscan-Halcyon-Only-With-You\/master\/22980\" title=\"Halcyon \/ Only With You\" target=\"_blank\">Halcyon \/ Only With You<\/a> where both tracks were successes. This was also their last release before they quit making music.<\/p>\n<p>Halcyon (with singer <a href=\"http:\/\/www.discogs.com\/artist\/Sally+Doherty\" title=\"Sally Doherty\" target=\"_blank\">Sally Doherty<\/a>) is a really pumping and well produced track.<br \/>\nOnly With You (with singer <a href=\"http:\/\/www.discogs.com\/artist\/Miriam+Stockley\" title=\"Miriam Stockley\" target=\"_blank\">Miriam Stockley<\/a>) uses the same recipy as Halcyon which makes the track really good.<\/p>\n<p>Goldenscan got back together in 2011 and re-released got signed to <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Armin_Van_Buuren\" title=\"Armin Van Buuren\" target=\"_blank\">Armin Van Buuren<\/a>&#8217;s label, <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Armada_Music\" title=\"Armada Music\" target=\"_blank\">Armada Music<\/a> and eventually started their own label, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.discogs.com\/label\/Goldenscan+Music\" title=\"Goldenscan Music\" target=\"_blank\">Goldenscan music<\/a><\/p>\n<p>When I listen to Sunrise, I dream back to the moment when I first heard it, in the warm summer morning just around sunrise in the south of Sweden.
