It was one of those track that got re-released tons of times and is still getting new versions today. They were later joined by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.discogs.com\/artist\/Sasha+Vatoff\" title=\"Sasha Vatoff\" target=\"_blank\">Sasha Vatoff<\/a> who is their live-dj who tours the world. <\/p>\n<p>The first version of 1998 actually came out in 1997 on a 2-track EP called <a href=\"http:\/\/www.discogs.com\/Binary-Finary-1998-Zapya\/master\/151598\" title=\"1998 \/ Zapya\" target=\"_blank\">1998 \/ Zapya<\/a> on UK label <a href=\"http:\/\/www.discogs.com\/label\/Aquarius+%282%29\" title=\"Aquarius\" target=\"_blank\">Aquarius<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The track was later picked up by most major labels and remixed by many of the big names in the trance community.<\/p>\n<p>In fact, <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/1998_(instrumental)\" title=\"1998\" target=\"_blank\">1998<\/a> was the first trance track that made it into the UK top 30. The 1998-version got as high as 24 whereas the 1999 version peaked at no 11.<\/p>\n<p>The 1998-release got official remixes by <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Paul_van_Dyk\" title=\"Paul Van Dyk\" target=\"_blank\">Paul Van Dyk<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Matt_Darey\" title=\"Matt Darey\" target=\"_blank\">Matt Darey<\/a> &#038; <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Dave_Ralph\" title=\"Dave Ralph\" target=\"_blank\">Dave Ralph<\/a>, the 1999-release got remixed by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.discogs.com\/artist\/Marc+Et+Claude\" title=\"Marc Et Claude\" target=\"_blank\">Marc Et Claude<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.discogs.com\/artist\/Kaycee\" title=\"Kaycee\" target=\"_blank\">Kaycee<\/a> &#038; <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Gouryella\" title=\"Gouryella\" target=\"_blank\">Gouryella<\/a> and the 2000-release was remixed by <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/DuMonde\" title=\"Dumonde\" target=\"_blank\">Dumonde<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.bejbi.se\/?attachment_id=5026\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-5026\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.bejbi.se\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/binaryfinary.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"binaryfinary\" width=\"680\" height=\"380\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-5026\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.bejbi.se\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/binaryfinary.jpg 680w, https:\/\/www.bejbi.se\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/binaryfinary-380x212.jpg 380w, https:\/\/www.bejbi.se\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/binaryfinary-340x190.jpg 340w, https:\/\/www.bejbi.se\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/binaryfinary-200x112.jpg 200w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 680px) 100vw, 680px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Of the lot, i&#8217;d have to say that I really love the original although it feels abit too fast for me. The first version I ever heard was the P<a href=\"http:\/\/www.discogs.com\/artist\/Paul+van+Dyk\" title=\"Paul Van Dyk\" target=\"_blank\">aul Van Dyk<\/a>-version which is more spot on what I liked at the time. It has those signature Paul Van Dyk drums and overall Paul Van Dyk-sound.<\/p>\n<p>The version I fell in love with though was the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.discogs.com\/artist\/Gouryella\" title=\"Gouryella\" target=\"_blank\">Gouryella<\/a>-version, but again, I&#8217;ve always been a big <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Ferry_corsten\" title=\"Ferry Corsten\" target=\"_blank\">Ferry Corsten<\/a>-fan and together with <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Tiesto\" title=\"Tiesto\" target=\"_blank\">Tiesto<\/a>, he made such beautiful tracks. That thumping baseline, that signature snaredrum, those melodies. It almost gives me a hardon just thinking about those tracks, too bad Gouryella isn&#8217;t around anymore.<\/p>\n<p>I also like the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.discogs.com\/artist\/DuMonde\" title=\"Dumonde\" target=\"_blank\">Dumonde<\/a>-remix as it has that harder Dumonde-edge to it.<\/p>\n<p>On the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.discogs.com\/Binary-Finary-1998-1999\/release\/203940\" title=\"Positiva\" target=\"_blank\">Positiva<\/a>-release of 1998\/1999 (released in 2003), you can also find a <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Ronski_Speed\" title=\"Ronski Speed\" target=\"_blank\">Ronski Speed<\/a>-remix of 1998 which was never release as a single.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.discogs.com\/label\/Armada+Digital\" title=\"Armada Ditial\" target=\"_blank\">Armada Digital<\/a> later re-released it in 2010 with fresh remixes by <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Alex_M.O.R.P.H.\" title=\"Alex M.O.R.P.H.\" target=\"_blank\">Alex M.O.R.P.H.<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.discogs.com\/artist\/TyDi+%26+Dennis+Sheperd\" title=\"TyDi &#038; Dennis Sheperd\" target=\"_blank\">Tydi &#038; Dennis Sheperd<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.discogs.com\/artist\/Vadim+Soloviev\" title=\"Vadim Soloviev\" target=\"_blank\">Vadim Soloviev<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.discogs.com\/artist\/Dabruck+%26+Klein\" title=\"Dabruck &#038; Klein\" target=\"_blank\">Dabruck &#038; Klein<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.discogs.com\/artist\/Vegas+Baby%21\" title=\"Vegas Baby!\" target=\"_blank\">Vegas Baby!<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.discogs.com\/artist\/Kaimo+K\" title=\"Kaimo K\" target=\"_blank\">Kaimo K<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Since the release of 1998, there hasn&#8217;t been that many releases from Binary Finary. I guess that it was pretty hard to pick up producing after such success with the first single.<\/p>\n<p>The 2001 release, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.discogs.com\/Binary-Finary-Niterider\/master\/74950\" title=\"Niterider\" target=\"_blank\">Niterider<\/a> is a pretty decent track. Feels more like goatrance than ordinary trance.<\/p>\n<p>Together with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.discogs.com\/artist\/Jose+Amnesia\" title=\"Jose Amnesia\" target=\"_blank\">Jose Amnesia<\/a>, Binary Finary released <a href=\"http:\/\/www.discogs.com\/artist\/Cloudbreak\" title=\"Cloudbreak\" target=\"_blank\">Cloudbreak<\/a> &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.discogs.com\/Binary-Finary-And-Jose-Amnesia-Pres-Cloudbreak-Difference\/master\/11550\" title=\"Difference\" target=\"_blank\">Difference<\/a>. A complex but still sweet track.<\/p>\n<p>Binary Finary released their only album in 2006, called <a href=\"http:\/\/www.discogs.com\/Binary-Finary-The-Lost-Tracks\/master\/177688\" title=\"The Lost Tracks\" target=\"_blank\">The Lost Tracks<\/a> which contains 16 tracks that they&#8217;ve written since 1998, released on <a href=\"http:\/\/www.discogs.com\/label\/Armada+Digital\" title=\"Armada Digital\" target=\"_blank\">Armada Digital<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Lately, Binary Finary has been quite busy and released some 7 tracks since 2011. Most of them are collaborations with artists like <a href=\"http:\/\/www.discogs.com\/artist\/Daniel+Wanrooy\" title=\"Daniel Wanrooy\" target=\"_blank\">Daniel Wanrooy<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.discogs.com\/artist\/Rodrigo+Deem\" title=\"Rodrigo Deem\" target=\"_blank\">Rodrigo Deem<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.discogs.com\/artist\/Matthew+Nagle\" title=\"Matthew Nagle\" target=\"_blank\">Matthew Nagle<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.discogs.com\/artist\/Trent+McDermott\" title=\"Trent McDermott\" target=\"_blank\">Trent McDermott<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.discogs.com\/artist\/Genix\" title=\"Genix\" target=\"_blank\">Genix<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>When you listen through the new material, you can easily hear that they have gone for a more modern style in trance. My guess is that most of the collaborations were made to find new inspirations on which way expand their music. <\/p>\n<p>Next track to be released is Binary Finary &#038; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.discogs.com\/artist\/Vegas+Baby%21\" title=\"Vegas Baby\" target=\"_blank\">Vegas Baby!<\/a> &#8211; Folded &#038; Molded which you can hear a preview of <a href=\"http:\/\/soundcloud.com\/binaryfinary\/binary-finary-vegas-baby-1\" title=\"here\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>They have also been touring alot this year all over the world. I was supposed to see them perform this June but their gig got cancelled.<\/p>\n<p>So to sum it up. Binary Finary has been around for quite some time.
